I was immediately drawn to this book because of the comparisons to Margaret Atwood and Shirley Jackson but once I started reading I realized that there was a lot more to like! To start, I loveee this writing style- it is descriptive, lyrical and it brings the story to life for me. I think the atmosphere is well developed and will make for a great story!
