This is such a trippy and ethereal concept for a story. I love the contrasts of Vera’s town being small and almost whimsical, while having an absolutely insane “affliction”. Disappearing mothers with seemingly no similarities is such an intimate mystery within the town and I. Am. Riveted. The premise, pared with an incredibly artful, but I’m thinking deceptive cover, has me hooked. I have to know how this one ends.
