At first glance, this cover wouldn't necessarily be something I naturally gravitated towards in a bookstore. But, upon reading the story's premise, I was immediately intrigued. Elsewhere's first look also gave me the chance to explore some interesting dynamics of a town and populus that seems set apart from the rest. Then, when you add in the points of view of children the dynamic becomes eerie and the atmosphere even creepier. I am intrigued to see what is behind the mystery of this remote village and if answers are on the horizon for Vera and her pals.
