I did already receive an arc of this book from Goodreads a while back and finished the book, so this first impression may go a bit further than the actual first look did. I thought it was a compelling start to the story with the almost idyllic nature of the town contrasted with the unsettlingness of it all. The rest of the book is pretty interesting so if you like the beginning, you'll definitely like the story as a whole.
