While this type of story is not generally my style, I will say that the writing is really lovely. The author writes with a sort of effortless voice that makes really simple moments enjoyable to read about. It does have more of a literary feel than I prefer, and there's not too much plot in the first chapters, so I don't feel connected enough to the action or characters to keep going, but for anyone who does like reading adult literary fiction, I think you might like this one.
