When I read the synopsis...”Veronica sees ghosts.”, I thought oh no, this is not the book for me. I don’t do ghost stories, but as they say don’t judge a book by the cover, because I really enjoyed Veronica and Sawyer’s story. Veronica suffers from blinding migraines due to a brain tumor. Sawyer fights an adrenaline addiction. What happens when two unlikely friends come together for their senior project? You’ll have to read the book to find out!
Echoes Between Us is YA at its best. This is the first book I’ve read by author, Katie McGarry, but I’m definitely going to check out Jesse and Scarlett’s story in Only a Breath Away. Thank you to Tor Teen for the advanced copy; all opinions are my own.
