The. story is about a girl who can see ghosts her mother's ghost to be exact and the boy with the addiction I really got to be my brother was an addict I felt connected to the characters they were well thought out well for trade this book went way beyond my expectations I did feel sad. for the main character she came to the realization that everyone she cared for where is Skeeter going to leave her or disappear that she would be alone in the end this book is a must-read in my opinion I highly recommend reading it this book will stay with me for years annoying me it won't be the last time I read it. I've even loaned it out already to a friend who wanted to read it also she likes it too thank you for a good book
