This was a well told emotional story about two unlikely teens figuring out themselves and falling in love. Veronica has a brain tumor like her mother who died after bouts of chemo. Sawyer is an adrenaline junkie who takes care of his mother and sister. Sawyer is a popular jock to Veronica’s weirdo outcast status. But when sawyer and his family move in downstairs they meet and form a tenuous friendship by working on a school project together to prove ghosts exist. This was a well written story with complex characters the reader rooted for. The setting and story were well done and kept me glued to the pages. I laughed, I cried who can ask for anything more? I hadn’t read anything by Katie McGarry but I will!
