Ghosts, Secrets and the Real person beneath

Veronica is haunted by the memory of her mother's traumatic death from brain cancer and talks to her ghost. She struggles with violent migraines and thinks that she is following in her mother's footsteps. Sawyer is haunted by his need for adrenaline rushes and his younger sister's nightmares. He is more of a parent than he would like to be in his dysfunctional family. Excerpts from a teen who spent time in the nearby TB hospital provide an interesting alternative perspective to young people living with illness.
