Katie McGarry is a favorite author of mine. She has a knack of bringing swoon worthy YA romance mixed with serious topics that really get you in all the feels.
This book hit me extra hard because cancer, brain cancer to be more exact is a front topic in this book. I myself had a brain tumor when I was younger (benign and luckily healed it self over time) But my Best Friend Andie was not so lucky. She fought hard and long with her battle against brain cancer and went to Heaven in 2019. What Veronica goes through in Echoes Between Us I could not help but reflect on that being what my friend Andie went through.
