This book is a contemporary romance about a girl named Veronica. She is fighting an illness while also fighting her feelings for her new neighbor, Sawyer. Who is also fighting his own addiction. Each character has a demon they are facing and have to overcome and conquer. With romance and suspense this book was well written. They complemented each other in this book. I had feelings for each of the main characters mentioned in this story. They have the problems we would have and are not perfect and they have to admit and overcome it. The writing in this book draws you in like the sea pulls the sand. The suspense was just the right amount and gave me goosebumps. The friendships in this story between of the characters and their friends is very heartwarming. It was a perfect heartwrenching warming book. It made you want to live a little.
