I liked the initial atmosphere of the book. There's something peaceful yet overshadowing about the sanitarium in the background. The book dives right in to discussing the characters, but does not set up a lot of context as to what is going or why the characters are at this location.
The cover is pretty and I think I would notice it on a shelf, however it does not give any hints to the story.
