I like the ghostly premise of this story, but I wasn't too sold with the excerpt provided. When a lot of the character introductions come in the form of very specific, uninteresting physical descriptions (I don't really care exactly how tall in inches a main character is), I get a little wary. Maybe the rest of the book will be better.
