Based on the cover, I expected this to be a child’s art book but the explanations were far too vague to be for a child. This book will appeal to only a certain group. Older more skilled artists with a specific interest in drawing animals will find this book of use. I do think elementary aged children will enjoy the idea of the book but quickly become frustrated when realizing the art is beyond their capabilities. I would not purchase this book for any library other than a large public library where I knew there was specific interest in this type of drawing. The cover is cute but juvenile so I am not sure how adults would feel about checking the book out or even if they would take the time to open it up.
