This book is very nice. It is beautifully illustrated, as you would expect from a book that teaches drawing. I very much liked the beginning, especially the discussion of supplies used and why. This was very helpful. Also of interest is the section on shading and drawing fur. For me, after this point the book fell a bit flat. Now, consider that I cannot draw. I am very creative but cannot draw a stick person. I need a book for beginners. This book talks very briefly about using circles and ovals to indicate shape but moves on way too quickly for me. In a few short pages, you are expected to sketch a bunny in a tea cup or a squirrel. It was over my head way too quickly. I had hoped to be able to draw something...anything, after reading it but came away liking to look at the book but still frustrated with my own drawing.
