I am certainly not an artist and I have never had any formal art instruction, but I do think someone with an artists nack could follow the instructions provided in this book. This book is informative and educational in its teaching the reader about using particular art supplies and how to get a desired effect using them. It teaches you to look at nature and animals as shapes and patterns. I enjoyed looking at the pictures that the artist has created in the book- I 'm pretty sure I don't have enough talent to replicate them but looking at the pictures is enjoyable in and of itself. I think this book will appeal to artists or art students wanting to improve their techniques in drawing these types of images.
