So, first let me say that this is a really, really beautiful book. The illustrations, which I guess is only to be expected from a book of this nature, are done exceptionally well. The attention to detail in the drawings is impeccable. And the coloring and shadings are shown with vivid detail.
I know there are techniques to draw animals starting from very basic shapes because I am familiar with a few of them, but this book starts you off from tracing the animals out of the book instead of drawing them yourself from those basic shapes. Now, the book does briefly touch on the process of those shape techniques, really I would say it just blazes right through them.
I wanted more of those techniques AND I wanted all the amazing detail techniques that the book does really well. I wanted it all :)
