Jane Maday, the author, is a wonderful artist. Her drawings and paintings of animals are beautiful, and you just want to cuddle them.
Not only does Ms. Maday demonstrate step-by-step how to draw cute animals, but she goes through the basic equipment you will need for drawing, or painting. She shares tips to help make your work neater and cleaner.
I'm not an artist, but I wish I was. As beautiful as all of these drawings are, they contain a lot of details. As a beginner art student, I would like something a little less challenging. Ms. Mary's drawings are amazingly beautiful, but also a little intimidating. Maybe toe target audience should be intermediate artists, students with some basics under their belt.
The cover of this book, as well as all the illustrations, are art. They are nice enough to be framed. After seeing this book, I want to look for coloring books by Ms. Mayday, too.
