From the excerpt, I'd say this definitely isn't a book for beginners: you need to have some drawing know-how to interpret the fairly short directions into a cute picture resembling the example. You also need to be something of an experienced artist to have the specific materials cited on hand (ex. 2H and 2B pencils). That said, the designs demonstrated indeed live up to the title and are super cute!
