I love fantasy books. And something I love more than that is when the fantasy books not only have magic but dragons. I guess it stems from my obsession with game of thrones. So anyways, that was main reasoning for picking up this book and it was also the reason I stayed and finished it too.

I loved the characters. The author did a really great job of me connecting with them and making want them to succeed and do well for themselves.

The world building was fantastic. I love reading a epic fantasy where I can imagine myself there. It was so easy to transition myself into that reading space.

As for the story line and progression. It was alright. I wasn't hooked but I also wasn't wanting to not finish the book. But alas, I did. And overall; I think it was a great start of a trilogy.
