Duncan M. Hamilton's Dragonslayer is an interesting read of magic, dragons, and those who are sworn to kill them. In book one of the trilogy, it shows us Gill, a man who has come to let himself go and how he has come to his present situation and Alpheratz, one of the remaining dragons in the land. Hell bent on revenge, Alpheratz has attacking various villages across the land and Gill, reluctant as only he can, is brought to the capital to start hunting for the dragon. Dragonslayer is a fun, interesting read and one of the first I have read in this genre and I can not wait to see how it will turn out in books 2 and 3. I have received this book as an advanced reader's copy from bookish first in exchange for a review.
