Dragons!
I wasn't sure what to expect with this one, but I was excited to read it. It's probably good I didn't go in with any expectations, because they would have been wrong. I've never read another book like this one, and while it's not something I'd read all the time, I enjoyed seeing this one unfold as I read it!
This book is packed full with fun elements, from beasts to magic, danger and exciting surprises, but there's some side messages such as loss and war that make it unique. The characters are real, and broken, and beautifully human, something I really enjoy in books. I liked that they each have painfully obvious issues that needed to be dealt with, but that is wasn't there to make them less, but instead that was one of the things that made them more likable and easier to relate too.
