I found the start of the book to be okay. There was not a lot of character description to introduce them. The characters talked and walked the same, no differential. The writing felt like the author's first book.
I like the cover picture; however, the author's name is too prominent, which shows to me that he is relying on his name and not his storytelling.
I'm interested to see how the story ends, but the writing is what throughs me off.
