I'm really particular about the fantasy books I read, and this doesn't sound like one I'd be interested in, though I know many people who might enjoy it, so I'll mention it to them. The cover didn't seem all that different from other similarly themed stories I've noticed at the bookstore, and the writing was a bit too slow for my taste.
