Dragonslayer sounds like a promising new entry in the epic fantasy genre. As with most genre novels, the story begins slowly to introduce readers to the fantasy world and the many characters that populate it. The narrative is told from alternating points of view, including one from a dragon. The descriptions are a little too verbose for my taste, but I am enjoying what I've read thus far.
