Aside from issues I had with the writing, such as redundant, unnecessary, and rather boring descriptors (cream cloak, pitch-dark and pitch-black describing the same cave...), I felt the book may have some potential. Unfortunately, I really struggled to stay engaged with the book and had to keep re-reading pages.
