This read was a twisty one! One of the tag lines described it as "a twisting, smart, and wickedly dark thriller" and that is EXACTLY what it was throughout. This one was a true page turner and easily a single day read. I found myself flipping pages quickly to figure out the "catch" and exactly what the characters were hiding. It becomes a game with any mystery or thriller to guess the secret hook before the end. While I did not think that I would figure this one out before the final pages, I did.... and then I didn't! There was one thread of the story that I was able to unravel before the final chapter, but there were still several that I was not able to figure out on my own. The intertwined stories and characters made this one a fantastic read and kept my attention until the very last word. And now, I'm excited to one day pick up more of Bidonde's reads.
