Thank you to GreenLeaf Book Group, the author, and Bookish First for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. For a debut novel, I say this book has many positive qualities. I was excited to begin reading this book because it focuses on twins and my family has a history of twins (plus, any psychological thriller is an added bonus for me). I enjoyed how the story switched between the perspectives of both twins, Alexa and Beth. I think the plot had a very slow build, but once I reached about the last third of the book, everything seemed to have picked up in pace and I was more drawn into the storyline. Without spoiling the novel, I had my suspicions all along. However, the right amount of details remained hidden and I did not discover them until the last quarter of the book or so. I really enjoyed Dr. Greer's character. Overall, I would classify this as a great debut novel for this author. There is always room for improving character and plot development, but for a starting novel, I would say this ranks pretty strong.
