Alexa lives a sheltered life with her dad until she accepts a marketing job in New York City. She is determined to start a new life on her own even though her dad and her therapist are concerned with this move. No sooner than she arrives in NY her estranged twin sister Beth shows up at her door of her new apartment. Alexa starts her job and shortly afterwards starts dating Curt who is a client of hers, and is trying to be an up and coming YouTuber. Curt moves in with the twins and next thing we know he is dead and Alexa is at the police station being interrogated for his death.
I thought this story was okay as it was told from each twin's point of view and their therapist, Dr. Greene. I was a little surprised when I learned what the "incident" was from when the twins were nine - I didn't see that coming at all. I didn't feel like I really knew the characters that well especially Curt and his secret plan to become famous - that just seemed to come out of now where in the story. It was interesting to have the different POVs tell the story as we learned about the incident and what happened to Curt. Thanks for allowing me to read this ARC!
