Although I think that the premise of this book is quite interesting, the first look did not draw me in in the way I hoped it would. There was a lot of plot and different events/characters that were introduced, but I did not feel overly connected to any of them. I think that this is just one of those books that takes a few chapters to really get into! I did enjoy that the storyline was unique and not one that I had seen recently. You can tell there will be lots of twists and turns throughout the story and those are my favorite types of books to read. Overall I think that this is a book that would be a very enjoyable read, but the few chapters that I had access too in the first look were just not enough to completely immerse myself in this story and world. I would be interested in reading a bit more just to see where the story is headed and to see if there is a bit more world building and character development.
