The basic plot seems okay - twin sisters, a dead boyfriend, and the twin in the midst of the police interrogation seems to be innocent. The author wastes no time in establishing doubt about all three of the main characters: twin sisters (Alexa and Beth) and their father. Alexa is absent - off at a mental facility; Beth had a promising job offer in New York three months previously but that seems likely be derailed since she is paranoid that the police actually want her to be the murderer; Dad seems obsessive about control and this includes a strange interest in what seems to be a desire to keep his daughters separated

If I were assigned this book as part of a book club choice, I probably would finish reading it. This is based on how I felt after reading 24 sample pages. However, I did not feel any immediate connection for either of the sisters or their father. I have a feeling that all three members of this family will end up being suspicious.
