I was in a mini-reading slump until I read this excerpt! The writing is hauntingly incandescent and I got lost in the prose. From the first scene, I was completely engaged in the narrator’s life and story and I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds. Some reviews talk about a supernatural aspect, so we’ll see how that plays out because I am not a fan of the supernatural.
