The first thing I found really interesting about this book was that it was told from a different perspective than from what I typically read (YA novels). The author also does an amazing job of dropping little bits of information that left me intrigued and wanting to know both what had happened in the past and what would happen in the future. I appreciated how the narrative was the main character talking to his deceased son and how it seamlessly blended with what was currently happening; I can’t wait to see what the author will do with this type of narrative style.
