Reading the First Look, I feel as if I have fallen into a very deep emotional pit. Van has just buried his son and returned to his job as a college professor. He is divorced, trying to keep his head above water, and is constantly talking to his dead son, Malcolm. He has been told his grandfather has left him something and sets an appointment to see the attorney. Just how do you expect me to go to sleep now that I am this far in emotionally?
