I do not like the mom but am sure that reading further we are going to understand her feelings.
This will probably be a good book to discuss and react to because that scene about his race - I have opinions. The race conversation felt forced like one minute we mourning next moment he is going on rant about race & universities & publishing. I wonder if the story will pick up once he gets to the estate.
