In a post-apocalyptic world take a genetically altered information broker and a supersoldier trying to set things right for his men, add their ride-or-die sisters and brothers in their (found)family and put them on an epic road trip. Kit Rocha has created a wonderful read. I loved the way this book flowed. Information from The Franklin Center for Genetic Research and Techcorps provided background information on the characters in a world where the government has collapsed, the infrastructure grid is gone, corporations control everything and people living on the margins are struggling to learn how to do things for themselves. In this world librarians are worth their weight in gold. (Can we get writers to include health care, universal basic income and a female president in their books? Just a thought. KThxBye)

Deal With The Devil is set in the same world as The Beyond series. There is a mention of a to a crate of liquor that the Silver Devils sometimes use to barter for goods or services. I have verified that the Okane liquor remains unscathed. The mention felt like an Easter egg find [smile!]. There are cage fights, a road trip and two people were meant to be together. Heat level is 2 Stars (it is nothing compared to parties in Sector 4). Writing is 5 stars.

I loved this book so much I read it in hard copy format (the only ARC copy I could access). My eyes hated me for it but it was worth it. I look forward to reading more in this series.
