The post apocalyptic genre is popular trend in books recently and this was a fun read. This book is very much about the introduction of a new world and after reading this I will be checking out their other available series. Character development is important for world building and Kit Rocha does it well. I wish the librarian part had been more prevalent but I am sure it is something that will be explored in the upcoming books of the series.
Romance is obviously going to be an important part of the series possibly with more then one couple pairing among the characters. Nina and Knox in Deal with the Devil play well off each other through this adventure of their meeting and falling for each other. Super soldiers and mercenary librarians both groups results of government modifications has potential for the creation of a interesting universe and Kit Rocha has done a wonderful job of it's introduction.
