Just from the tagline, I can tell I'm going to love this book. Mercenaries? Librarians? Mercenary librarians? Sign me up! I was a little unsure at first because the cover doesn't look like most of the books I usually read, but once I read the tagline I was hooked and realized that it actually fits quite well. I loved Nina's narration in the first part of the chapter and it has an amazing first line that left me wanting to learn more and more about the world. Her tone reminds me of the main character of the novel I'm currently writing, so reading things from her perspective felt comforting and familiar. I can already tell I'm going to like her. I'm excited to read the rest of the book!
