“Orphan Black meets the postapocalyptic Avengers” is all I need to know. I don’t even need to read the first impression to know that this book is going to be phenomenal.
But I did read the first impression and it sounds just as fantastic as the description promises. I love how dark and gritty the world feels in this small glimpse, and I like the futuristic aspects like the biochemical stuff and the jets and the weapons. Reminds me a little of Kim Harrison’s Peri Reed series, which is one I adored.
I’ll be adding this beauty to my tbr immediately and then checking out whatever else Kit Rocha has. I thought the duo wrote mainly steamy romance and after reading this little snippet, I can see I’ve clearly been misinformed.
