As a librarian myself, the "mercenary librarians" tagline automatically drew me in. I can't explain how annoying it is to see the typical librarian stereotypes in books, television shows and commercials, and even movies. Yes, I usually wear my hair in a bun, but that's because I have to be at work by 7 in the morning! And yes, I wear cardigans a lot, but it's really cold in my library! I'm so much more than the librarian stereotype, and I was so excited to see this book put librarians -- who are not keepers of books but keepers of INFORMATION - in the spotlight for what they truly do -- educate people!
