I don't usually read postapocalyptic fiction because I find it depressing, but this excerpt totally hooked me. We're tossed right in the midst of action. The writing is taut and the pace is quick. There's a sense of urgency that made me want to keep reading. I'm intrigued and would definitely read this book.
