The cover's post-apocalyptic vibes are real. This story takes place decades into the future, after massive solar flares have wreaked havoc on earth. There seems to be an entity that is keeping society from fully recovering, and two separate groups doing their best to fix that. Strong start. Great plot. Fascinating story.
