This book sucked me in from the moment I picked it up! The imagery of this place was magnificent, I could imagine myself in Louisiana with these characters. Is it something supernatural or is it really just the questionable group of people living here. The main character Grey returns to Louisiana after spending the school year in Arkansas. She returns to try to find out what happens to her best friend who has disappeared. What follows is a well imagined tale of what goes on amongst those with special gifts that most of us do not have. I was wrapped up with Grey in trying to figure out who wasn't telling the truth. **Spoiler Alert** Someone knows more than they're letting on and I kept guessing as to who made Elora disappear. The ending really hit me with a hurricane bearing down on them the story is finished and someone pays the ultimate price for love. This author had me guessing and I have to admit, I did not have this figured out. I hope to read another book by this author soon.
