"...in the end, not everything is knowable."

Dark And Shallow Lies by Ginny Myers Sain is a surprisingly fantastic book. I was not expecting to like this much nearly as much as I did. I was completely absorbed in the lives of Grey, her friends, and family in La Cachette, Louisiana. This is the first time in awhile where I did not want to put a book down, staying up way past my bedtime. This story kept me engaged, intrigued, and guessing all the way up until the very end. It was also very omnious reading about the impending hurricane in this book while real life hurricane Ida was damaging the same exact area. I believe this is the author's debut, and I am so excited to see what she comes up with next.
