Grey returns to her small, seaside hometown of La Cachette, Louisiana, after her best friend goes missing, where everyone has some form of psychic ability. Given the large number of seers, someone must be able to assist Grey in locating her friend. But when she asks around and learns more about herself, it becomes evident that Grey isn't secure in La Cachette either.It's the ideal blend of spooky, friendships, relationships, and everything else. Also, the atmosphere it generates is absolutely wonderful and vivid. On the bus trip to camp, I devoured the book in one sitting and didn't stop thinking about it for the rest of the week.I thought I had worked out who did it, so I was pleasantly surprised when I was proven incorrect. The final thirty pages or so were suspenseful, and my heart was beating. It had just the exact amount of creepy tension to make you want to know more right away.
