Dark and Shallow Lies follows Grey, a teenager in a small island community in Louisiana populated by psychics and empaths. Grey is home for the summer, but isn't excited about her first time home since her best friend went missing months prior. After she gets several psychic flashes of her friend running from an unknown menace, she fears a local menace may have returned to their community...or never left.
