Magic. Disappearances. Murder. All happening in the Swamps of the Bayou, screams Southern Gothic feels and I am here for it! The cover is gorgeous and pulled me in instantly with its dark and mysterious waters and yet has soft flowers, which can represent the girl's or innocents, both or even magic. Add the description and bam! I'm hooked before the first sentence. Don't get me wrong though, the first paragraph has me wanting more.
