Not even turning to the first page and the cover art is beautiful and haunting, dragging me in to find clues and solve the puzzle. But it’s really the first page that has me so captivated. With a line like, “there’s nowhere left to hide except inside the dark.” I know I’m in for a twisting, turning, dark and lovely treat of a book.
