From the first chapter I knew that the main character was going to be very relatable to the modern young adult audience. There aren't many books in the YA genre quite like this one. Darius seems like a very cool-headed and down to earth young man even while going through some challenges.

The thing that I honestly liked the most from the first few chapters was how descriptive they were. I did not know what a few things or words were, but the author did a great job to clear them up in a way that made reading it enjoyable. The descriptions of scenes and places also did a great job of painting a picture in my head of what the main character was describing.

Overall, I am very excited to read this book and see what happens. It seems like a very uplifting, coming of age novel.
