I was only able to read the first few chapters through Bookish First. But it is going on my TBR because as a social worker focusing in mental illness this is something I wish I could tell everyone. It's okay if you're not completely okay. It doesn't make you weak or less than others.
This book is about Darius, who isn't really connected to his Persian identity until he visits Iran and his family for the very first time. In the sections I read it was clear this was going to be a moving book and I will need tissues when I can read the rest.
Adib Khorram's writing is easy flowing and engaging. I started reading and didn't want to stop. When I did reach the end of the sampling I was like "No!" I wanted more! So I foresee a trip to my local bookstore!
